The Battle Of Fish Creek (1885)

The Battle of Fish Creek gave the Metis hope that the Canadians could be defeated.
Canadian soldiers lead by General Middleton gathered in the area and prepared themselves for battle. Middleton saw the Metis across the field on April 23rd and the forces fought the next morning.
The battle was short, one day only, but the Canadians suffered more loss of ammo and more casualties, giving the Metis hope the Canadians could be beaten.
